Professional wallpaper installation, hung to perfection.
You choose the wallpaper — Hillcrest's dedicated installers hang it. Every project includes full wall preparation and priming, precise pattern matching, and clean, tight seams. Wallpaper installation is all we do here — in Chaska and across the Twin Cities, Minnesota.
Wallpaper installation before & after — drag the line
Same room, two ways. On the right, clean, plain painted walls with no wallpaper at all; on the left, those same walls after our wallpaper installers prepped, primed, and hung the paper. Slide to compare a plain wall with the finished wallpaper installation.
From plain painted walls to crisp seams and a pattern that flows around the room. Every Hillcrest quote starts with an in-person look at your actual walls.
Professional wallpaper hanging vs. the alternatives
Professional Installation
- The paper you choose, hung by dedicated installers
- Wall preparation & priming included in every job
- Patterns matched at every seam, corner, and opening
- Grasscloth, murals, and delicate papers handled correctly
- Clean edges at ceilings, trim, and outlets
- Finished with a walkthrough of the room together before we call it done
- The result the paper was designed to give you
DIY Hanging
- Bubbles, lifting seams, and misaligned repeats
- One miscut panel can waste an expensive roll
- Wall prep is usually skipped — and it shows
- Ceilings and stairwells are genuinely difficult
Peel-and-Stick
- Thin material that telegraphs every wall flaw
- Edges curl and seams open over time
- Limited patterns, no true grasscloth or murals
- Meant to come down — not to last
The Hillcrest wallpaper installation process
Wallpaper installation is all we do. Wall preparation and priming are included in every single installation, never sold as an extra.
Measure & Assess
We measure your walls, check their condition, and review your paper — its repeat, width, and how much the job needs — before anything is scheduled.
Prep & Prime
Included in every installation: old paper removed when selected, walls repaired, smoothed, and primed so your new paper bonds and lies flat.
Layout & Pattern Plan
We plan the first panel and every seam around the room — where the pattern starts, how it turns corners, and how it lands at doors and windows.
Hang & Smooth
Panels are cut, pasted, and hung by hand, then smoothed and rolled seam by seam for a flat, bubble-free finish.
Trim & Walkthrough
Edges are trimmed clean at ceilings, baseboards, and outlets, fixtures go back up, and we walk the room with you before we call it done.
Wallpaper styles our installers hang — choose your pattern
Tap a style and see it on the same finished room — these eight are the looks our clients ask for most. But they are favorites, not limits: you supply the paper, and we professionally install virtually any wallpaper there is — any brand, any pattern, any material. Not sure how much to order? Your consultation includes measuring, so you buy the right amount.
Don't see your style here? It is still yours. Show us the paper you love — a roll, a link, a photo — and we will hang it the way it deserves to be hung.

Wallpaper installation quote — describe your rooms, we'll email it
Count your walls, tap every option that applies, and tell us where to send it. Your itemized quote is prepared from your exact selections — we don't flash a generic number on screen, because no two rooms hang the same. A project minimum applies to every job, set by your area and applied automatically from your city when your quote is prepared.
Your spaces
Measure each wall you want papered — enter its height and length in feet and we’ll work out the square footage for you. Add as many walls and rooms as you need. Rough numbers are fine — we verify every measurement in person before final pricing.
Name each room, then add a line for every wall in it. Height is usually your ceiling height; length is the wall measured side to side. Your total square footage updates as you type.
Options
Tap everything that applies. Wall preparation and priming are included in every installation — these options cover the work beyond standard prep. If you're unsure, tap it anyway; it will simply appear as a line item on your emailed quote.
